I think I still need/want to learn how to access the blockchain programmatically so I can implement some of my ideas, such as automating the creation of my hierarchical library...
But I'm glad to see that https://chainbb.com doesn't impose the arbitrary limits that http://steemit.com and http://busy.org have applied!

Right now, your best bet for programmatically accessing historic content is SteemSQL and SteemData.
