I see you are a mushroom expert. Four years ago my husband and myself started a small oyster mushroom farm in Florida. Sure wish I were an expert!

I am not an expert in cultivating edible mushrooms! I am more an expert in knowing how to correctly define many species and i studied the research of Paul Stamets. I am highly fascinated from the many healing properties of some mushroom species like trameta versicolor / coriolis , ganoderma lucidum and these are the only ones i grow in my garden. Edibles I love to pick up in the woods seasonal. I like oyster mushroom too. Cool 2 meet a mushroom grower here maybe you can give me some tips if i decide to try to implant parasol_myecelbrut in my gardenearth
We refer to Paul Stamets' book, "Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms," all the time. Oysters are the bottom of the gourmet line but are still considered gourmet. We are not experts by any means but are learning. I probably woudn't be much help to you since we grow our mushrooms in a controlled enviornment in substrate bags. If you are interested you can check out our website, krshrooms.com. Our knowledge is limited to that particular type of growing but we do expand our own spawn. Later on we would like to get a lab and make our own spawn from spores and beautiful specimens!
