I never did understand this voting business and curation. I just vote for blogs that catch my attention...esp if theres not a lot voting for it. Is there a limit?

There is a limit. It's about 40 votes per day. If you use the voting power slider, you can set it to 50%, for example, and get 80 votes per day. You can monitor your voting power, and other useful stats, on SteemDB.
Geez..i am only doing less than 10 upvotes per day!thanks for that!
