There is a need in the medical industry for qualified sonographic technicians.
I was just notified by a colleague, that they have a waiting list some 18,000 people long, due to lack of technicians despite starting salaries of $40/hr!
It's so long in fact that according to this article, they aren't even scheduling new patients!
This is not good. The lack of qualified technicians is causing a patient backlog in many areas of the world and it isn't limited to just Canada.
It leads to a terrible situation. Patients being turned away, not due to lack of funding, but due to lack of adequate staff to serve them!
This baffles me. It doesn't have to be this way. With prior medical training, in some cases you can become sonogram certified in as little as 6 months, however even if you have no prior medical training the whole course is a maximum of two years.
As a board certified radiologist I am qualified to teach medical students, including sonography in both the USA & Mexico. I've been planning to open the doors to world class medical training and I think steemit finally gives us the opportunity to do exactly that.
Here is how this will work. To get licensed depends entirely on where you are in your education and career right now. So when you respond to this ad, we will work out a personalized course plan for you to become a licensed sonographic technician.
We will bring you to beautiful sunny baja and get you started on training immediately.
The price is $900 monthly, including room and board as well as all learning materials and we will help you get a student visa if you need it.
We are a real working hospital. You will leave the program with everything you need for licensing including education, experience and confidence.
The full cost of this program is less than 1/3rd of the cost in either the USA or Canada and as you know many medical professionals from around the world come to Baja to train. I know because I teach them and now I want to teach you.
You can pay 100% in Steem Dollars, which means you can earn while you learn.
Classes are in your choice of English or Spanish and will start on the first day of each month, don't be late!
Wow! This is incredible! Upvoting and resteemed!
Caught from your resteem. Following.
Great initiative!
It is also very uncommon to have an educational program designed on a student-by-student basis. I have no word for this. I am amazed ^^
Thank you. It will be a challenge for us, but this is a need that is clearly not being met.
The girl in the photos doesn't look old enough to be working lol - I must be getting old!
You aren't getting old. Sierra is involved in a program we run with high schools to bring exceptional young minds into the medical field to give them practical, hands on experience. She takes the same courses we give to our college students, but she also has to keep up her grades at her regular school. When she is done, she will have an Associates Degree, but she will have that the same day she finishes high school.
Education in Mexico is different than in the USA though. At a certain age our school students start looking into career options and it's not at all uncommon for them to receive vocational training in various fields under the tutelage of someone with experience. The extent that this happens varies a lot from school to school.
This young lady is going to do great things.
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought I had reached that stage where everyone looks too young to be doing their job! Very cool. I remember I went on work experience when I was 14 although it was in a much more boring office position - all I did was make coffee for everyone. I still don't know what the hell they actually did there. I never really understood the purpose at the time because it had nothing to do with the kind of jobs I was interested in and I found it really boring. This sounds much more interesting and useful so well done in enthusing young people about such useful work.
Que estudios se necesitan para poder tomar el curso?
