Am I the only one, or is Steemit having too many performance issues? I joined steemit about 10 days ago. I do love the concept and find the features really great, but its performance and reliability disappointed me so far.
First of all, it is generally too slow to load pages, process upvotes, and send posts. For me, if such an action takes more than 2 seconds, it is too slow. Now I understand this build on blockchain and transactions take longer time, but this slowness can really impact the platform's global penetration.
Second, often times I get errors when I post, upvote, comment, or re-steem. Sometimes I just give up and move on. I am afraid too many users are facing similar issues, leading to huge wastes overall in authoring and curation efforts.
Last, but not least, the post form/page must always save automatically whatever the user enters. Should any error occur, the user has to be able to restart and resume his work. Users may spend a considerable amount of time authoring a post and they might not have a backup of it. The most frustrating thing that can happen is to lose hours of effort.
Excuse me if there is another forum to report and discuss these issues. I am not yet familiar with all steemit features.
