STEEMIT BLOGGING: Getting Rid of Bloggers’ Block

in #steemit7 years ago

Do you have that time where everything around you numbs down? Do you experience that lack of motivation whenever you think about writing something for your research, work or your Steemit blog?

Have you ever told yourself sooner or later the ideas will flow only to catch yourself later procrastinating or lying on your bed? Frustrating isn’t it?

Bloggers' block is that state where you find yourself in a rut while you stare at your computer thinking of something creative and new. This creative constipation is the source why most writers or bloggers feel so tired or burned out whenever they start on making content and if you add a prolonged pessimism here and there, Viola! You’ll find yourself completely drained of passion and motivation to write.

These are my personal ways on surmounting this lack of creativity and motivation on Steemit blogging.

1. Don’t force it

Love your brain. It’s been with you all your life. It kept tabs for you from all the details you’ve come to learn in your life and it felt tired from you overloading it with task but it never fully shut downs for you.

Take a step back. Step away from the computer. Breathe. Don’t force your brain to construct an award winning piece of work. Even if you already started but got stuck along the way have a brief pause.

Medicine has improve leaps and bound in every field of the human body. But stopping and resting is always recommended in the healing process. So have break have a KitKat! LOL!

2. Goal oriented activity

While taking a break from writing I don’t just do fun recreational activities that will make me forget about my slump. I seek activities that kick starts my mind to let those creative juices flowing.

Goal oriented activities stem from a flow of related tasks that leads you back to what you’re currently finishing. As for me when it comes to writing I first do crossword puzzles, then I draw doodles, then I read poem or short stories, then I free write.

Later on I’d find myself back on track writing about what I was currently finishing. Be creative on your goal oriented activities but have fun while you do it but remember to not forget about your goal.

3. Creative decathlon

These are my big guns when I really find myself totally dry of passion and motivation. I send myself for on a full on 2 day creative journey. Such activities include movie marathons and book reading.

Aside from scouting materials form this outlets, I also try to new recipes for every meal allowing myself to feel I’ve done something new and unconventional which helps my psyche.

My decathlon is designed for my traits and personality. It strengthens what I already have and pursues where I’m weakest. And if you’re wondering why I made it 2 days well I heard that usually people in a decathlon usually finish it in a day and add another day for rest.

4. Help someone out

More often when I help people I found out in the long run that I was also helping myself. It’s not all about my problems and frustrations. I am not the only one having a bad day so I try to make a positive difference in others.

Call it what you may, but giving back has never taken anything away from us. Actually it fill us back up. Out of all my techniques of getting over my blogger’s block this helps me on a level where I can’t even begin to describe it in words. It just helps me out a lot in the end.

I hope this help you spur on to your next Masterpiece. :) God bless!
