A while back I was sitting opposite someone on the tube in London, and this guy had about 10 shopping bags with him - from Cartier, Louis Vuitton and all these fancy brands. And he had tons of bling jewellery on and a massive gold watch and all that. And so I just thought 'whatever, guess he likes shopping'.

But then I looked again and I realized that all the bags were frayed at the edges and had loads of scuffs and marks - they weren't actually new bags from the shop that day, they were old. And then I peeked inside the bags and I saw that they just had some old cloths in them - no wrapping, nothing new.

And I realized that this guy was just travelling round trying to look rich - for no purpose other than that, at least as far as I could see

Made me a bit sad as I sat there wearing my Havaiianas and t-shirt.

But I like that STEEMIT is, or can be if you choose, totally anonymous. I think that I am perhaps a bit more real as a result. Kind of like being drunk, it makes it easier to speak your mind
