I notice that content that appeals to general community is more likely to be voted up than others (like answering a question - which is supposed to be important, reporting a bug even if latter is way more useful and better content that adds value to the reader. This gets even worse because the latter becomes less visible while the former keeps gaining votes thanks to network effect.
The default is 'Trending'
May be change the default to 'Active'? I only realized a day back that I am missing most of the content in Steemit.
Remove the trending, hot, responses and popular, and I guarantee that the votes will be better distributed. :) (ofc it has negatives. Just pointing out it is relevant)
In my opinion, the votes and rewards are biased. But if everything works out good and Steemit continues growing as it does now then the rewards will be much more fair.
May be soon, each tag will be popular enough to overcome this.
Steemit and the curators have much to go ;)
