500,000 people.. That's incredible!
So, let's tell you a little story..
My previous post here on Steemit went "viral". I was trending, even though I was far down the list.. And I had more than 150 upvotes and 100 comments when the time ran out.. With statistics like that, one could imagine that post to be worth a lot... But it wasn't.
The reason for it is quite simple. None of the whales got to see it. Or perhaps they did see it but decided not to vote on it.. Seriously though, that doesn't matter.
With results like this:
It's just tears of joy!
149 upvotes (155 at this time) .. That clearly speaks for itself.
People like my content. They appreciate what I share.. And share I will!

What do I mean by "viral" then?
Something viral means: an image, video, piece of information, etc. that is circulated rapidly and widely on the Internet... And that's exactly what my post did. It went viral on steemit. None of my previous posts have got this much attention so I'm thrilled over the results I got :)
You talked about 500,000 people?! What do you mean?
I'm not a famous blogger or a youtuber.. I am however, a top rated seller, having the highest user level on a marketplace, and this specific level is only reached by being hand picked, manually by the staff.
This marketplace is called SEOClerks and have more than 500,000 users.
Here follows some evidence to back my words..
I've been a member since 2012 and I contribute a lot to the community, so yeah. I will be able to reach a lot of people.. And, potentially all of them actually, even though it's not so likely.
What will I do to reach them all? - I will scale things up!
I already do what every marketer out there does. I write articles about steemit, I share my knowledge, my experience and I share all my steemit posts on Facebook too.. So I am positive that I will reach a BUNCH of people. On top of that, I will obviously also talk with my friends, relatives and my co-workers about steemit as well.
I want to go BIG.
And I will go big. Steemit will go big. I will do everything I can to make people aware of steemit's existence..

Hey @steemrollin, great question. I'm glad you asked! :)
They have something they call "Community Discussion". Previously called "FAQ" which is "Frequently Asked Questions". It's kind of new, the change from FAQ into CD and I am very active in that section. The CD is starting to get filled with quality content of all kind and the reason for that is to make a huge knowledge bank. (Like Quora for instance.) And that's how I'll reach people!
I will write articles in that section, but also answer questions and encourage people to join steemit. As I have "reputation" so to speak, I know there's many people who will be interested, especially after my introduction and in-depth articles over there.
Best part is. That's only the first step I'll take. :)
Just thought I'd give you all an update on this one. I decided to go with 5 different parts in a serie I called "Steemit - A New ERA In Social Media?".
So, that's the first step..
Now I'll scale things up even further!
I thought I'd share another update from this:
All of them have been answered. People are interested and there's even some proofs in this post, that I've managed to bring at least 2 new members today! #GOSTEEMIT!

This happens to me all the time. I'm trying to do good things with STEEMIT the real thing! I support many users. But not the big players. While posts with a silly picture collect thousands of dollars.
Yeah I hear you.. A lot of posts disappears in the mass of all the new content being created.. It's a bit unfortunate but it will bring even more quality to steemit at the end. :)

Such is the way trends happen. That's basically how Steemit started -- one guy saw some girl making dough traveling and then he started doing the same and next thing you know...
Yeah I can see that. Trends are great actually. It takes only 1 guy/girl ... Then the snowball effect happens.

That would be awesome, but it's more or less impossible to do 500 each.. However, I'll bring as many users I can.. And I have a few ideas to bring even more people. :)
What do you mean by "whales"? Are these long term #steemit users with a heavier weighting carried when they upvote? Are you saying that if these people appreciate your content it will gain more weight in the "trending" order so that more and more people get to see it? Sorry for the questions, I'm new here.

Whales are the "kings" of steemit. They have the most Steem Power, so votes by whales will first of all give you a few hundred dollars, but it will also rank your post higher in the list, which basically means that you'll get more exposure from others.
