What is the 24/24 you ask. Well, it's 24 bang average, everyday photo's of yourself that represent your true daily lives (not the lives most people try to create on other Social Media sites). Think of it as a way (hopefully ironic) to make fun at everyone using any social media site other than steemit.com. Would be great to see others get involved.
Hello, my name is Craig, It's 3pm yesterday, and after a boring morning at work my typical 24hrs begins...
Being a traders isn't how it appears on TV, you get a lot of down time
and then suddenly something happens...
yep, I'm one of those loser who sits on a swiss ball..
my colleague Matthew got stuck in here for 3 hour the other day. After 3hrs, he realised he had his phone in his pocket, this article sums him up nicely.. (https://steemit.com/steem/@hisnameisolllie/my-experience-biggest-barrier-to-signing-up-friends)
It's 7pm. Home time!!
Train time!!
Here it comes...
It was that kind of day!
London bus
I'm home!
I'm happy!
Bugger, still working
Stiiiiiiiilllll working, here is my home set up...
Here's me cooking a nice Indian Gobi!!
Watch TV series Billions, like every good stereotypical trader should...
Bedtime
Runtime in the park!!
Chill time in the garden
Just in case you thought I was lying about my 6am run..
Cheeky Coffee at the station
We do get nice weather in London every now and again...Walking into work.
I'm back
Let hope the markets are kind to me today!!
this is hilarious :)) i should do one myself.
Great!! Please do. I was hoping this could be the start of something...
soon!
ha! love this, kind of anti-entertainment. still makes me think if you find your job so dull time for a change!
@jamessmith Thanks for that. Definitely going for some irony.. Markets in a summer lull at the moment. Too much sport going.. (yes, that really does have a massive affect on the markets). Far more interesting when the markets are busy heading out of the summer...
@hisnameisollie just a thought, but is it the kind of thing that could be done from anywhere, say a beach? or time to trade crypto instead! ha!
Luckily it is. Been thinking about emigrating for a while now, hopefully someday soon I will get my act together and move somewhere move exciting. Crypto is definitely one for the future, and I love messing around with it in my spare time. I can definitely see all trading going through the blockchain someday.
as a brit emigration is firmly on my mind too! exciting times!
I can only imagine how good you are at trading crypto with your skills at picking up on the changes in the huge oil market.
Ha. I do trade crypto, but it is a very different market and one which is changing quick. There are some great opportunities, especially when dabbling on the thin volume on the Bitshares Openledger. I am by no means a Whale, and do it more as a past time...
Welcome Craig!
Cool photos!
Thanks @coar. I've been on the platform for a few week now, but though this could be something entertaining to do...
i see that oil trading is so boringgggggg....as compared to steem rrrrocket
Quite right!!
Nice run time! I think if you start trading cryptocurrencies on the side you will enjoy trading a lot more. :)
Welcome to Steem!
Thanks @acidyo
You just trade the 'OIL' that the Steem rocket leaves behaind. Do this math....you can't! But together on Steem who knows???
For the future in Crypto-Currency !!!!!!
I'm pretty sure the Maths you allude to is equal to the market cap of all of the following combined.. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Pinterest and Instagram
That's the Math behind the bitcoin ...My point was that you can't do it alone... nobody can do it!
I'm gonna follow you. Thanks for allowing us to view your perspective of life. Looks interesting :)
Great. Thanks @paco
24/24 Movement... Cool idea!
What do you do to get your hair like that ? I have always wanted to make it curl like that but it always ends up sticking up.
@calaber24p Not a question I thought I'd be answering, but more than happy to do so. Mine was the same until I grew out my hair. My fringe is always comes below my nose when I pull it forward. Also, get your hair cut by a old school barber, and blow dry back each morning. Worth it in the end, very low maintenance
Great little insight into the traders life! Is it hard to switch off during downtime due to the nature of the work or do you just adapt over time?
Love the old fashioned big button calculator on the desk btw :)
@brian-kho I've been doing it for 7 years, and although I'm not as bad as I was, definitely still wired outside of work. Find myself seeking risk and acting really intense. Not healthy, definitely not a life job.
Yeah, the old school calculator is a funny story. One of the old school traders gave it to me on my first day, And I thought to myself 'wow, how out of touch is this guy?' I had a scientific one, but when I tried to use it I kept 'fat fingering' when I was stressed.
It's amazing how bad your maths can be/and how fat your figures become when your under intense pressure, couldn't do without it in the end ;)
Hello
@jackkang Hello to you too!
Всем привет))
wow!
haha why so negative mentality? It is a nice job! Try to enjoy it :P
Thanks @konstantinos, Ever the pessimist. I will try my best :)
haha.. I can relate.. intraday forex trading at home but well true facing charts for hours and reading news and checking all those indicator.. nothing much.. I like the part of the morning run bro and coffee.
@facelesskent Good man. Always nice to meet a kindred spirit.
For Americans: his morning run was 3.9 miles at 7:21 per mile pace.
I don't really know why I have it set in Kilometres. I cycle in miles...
What a great idea. Thanks for sharing. When I tell people that I get paid to invent stuff, they automatically think that it must be super fun and exciting and the truth of the matter is that there is a lot of boring stuff like researching, patent reading and other stuff that isn't all that fun. Anyway great post. Thanks again.
I hope to see you @dollyllama follow suit. That would be interesting and entertaining I'm sure
