What's some of your favorite movies of all time? I'm currently collecting some of my all time favorites (mostly 80's movies) and looking for more ideas since it's been so long ago. HA HA! Here's my short list for now:
- Weird Science
- Breakfast Club
- Sixteen Candles
- Red Dawn
- Pretty In Pink
- Fast Times At Ridgemont High
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off
- Gremlins

Dredd has got to be one of my all time favorite movies. It is not quite the genera you are looking for, but it is a good portrale of futurism of today.
Part of the reason that I mention it is that Judge Dredd was an 80's film, and it was a good example of 80's futurism.
You do have two films that I would have mentioned in your list with Breakfast Club and Gremlins.
Other good ones would be Ghostbusters, and E.T.

Ghostbusters and E.T. are absolute musts as well, good picks! As for my picks, I was a big fan of the Brat Pack. LOL!
