RE: Power up for newbies (Voting weight too small? Get more than $20 in SP delegation for free)

I just took a look at your post - nice! :-)
Was a bit hard to find because of re-steems.
While it is not obligatory, please consider creating #introduceyourself post to get some more attention and attract potential followers that share your fields of interest.
Good luck! :-)

Sweet of you to answer— so are you saying that my re-steeming items is diluting my own content? (Sorry, just working on figuring this all out.) I've only re-steemed a few things that I've really appreciated thus far.

Case in point: I actually did write an introduction post. It didn't do very well at all in terms of connecting me to anyone new, which is fine; I have to earn it. But I did notice that posts from scraped and flipped accounts that went gangbusters, comparatively. Going to have to watch and learn to see if time of day or whatever has a solid impact on performance. WAGH SO MUCH I DON'T KNOW.

Some people like re-steeming some people don't. If I go to someone's blog I wan't to see their own content. Seeing content that they like would be good as an option, currently however you can't turn it on/off.

Oh dear, your introduction post is awesome! :-)

I've already upvoted it but I'm going to spread a word.

Please take a look at official welcome page and list of frequently asked questions. If there would be still something unclear, try to find some help on #help channel on steemit.chat or if all that would fail, contact me directly: Gandalf on chat.

I think that's fair. With very few followers, my re-steems are not too useful yet anyways. I'm happy to vote and throw my minnow-weight at the things I like.

Thanks for the big ups; it's really encouraging to see that people are into the weird stuff I've spent my life chasing! I'll spend some time poking around in all these resources to see if I can't be a better minnow and do some growing :/

I've just delegated you a bit for some time for easier start. Good luck :-)

oh, thanks! I shall go spread the wealth, judiciously yet responsibly.
