Scam Alert!

Anyone who has used one of the popular and honest up-vote services like @minnowbooster recently has probably received a message from @lovelygirl promising to triple their money.

This is a Scam!

This is the message from @lovelygirl:

Triple Your Money on Steemit. We will Up-Vote your posts for you. For $1 Steem Dollar our group will Up-Vote your post by $3.00 in return. So you triple your money. If you send us $2 SBD we will Up-Vote your posts by $6.00. Send $10 SBD and you get $30.00 in Up-Votes. Double Down! For $50 SBD and you get $300.00 in Up-Votes and for $100 SBD you get $750 in Up-Votes. We are a group of 250 loyal Steemians, we believe you should be paid more for your work on Steemit. Now you can get paid for your efforts. To receive our Up-Votes send $1 Steem Dollar to our leader @lovelygirl and enter a link to your post in the memo section. Your Satisfaction is Guaranteed. Thank You @lovelygirl

These messages have been sent to users of up-vote services for the last three weeks. @lovelygirl claims to be the leader of "a group of 250 loyal Steemians". She must have a pretty high reputation on Steemit then and lots of Steem Power to up-vote all these posts. Well, let's take a look at what her account looks like.

Hmm.. a reputation of 8. That doesn't look very good. But surely she has a lot of Steem Power... nope, almost none. In fact all she has is a lot of SBD that have been scammed from honest minnows trying to get ahead on Steemit.

But don't take my word for it. Let's hear from some of @lovelygirl's satisfied customers. These are actual quotes that can be found in @lovelygirl's wallet, because everything lasts forever on the blockchain.

I sent you 2 SBD. Wheres the double money you promised?

STOP SPAMMING ME- AND STOP SCAMMING OTHERS!

This is an obvious fraud. I sent you 3 SBD and got nothing in return. You should refund everyones money and go hide somewhere in SHAME>

Where upvote that you promised? This is a deception??

These are just a sample of the many messages sent to @lovelygirl from her customers. In her message she claims:

Your Satisfaction is Guaranteed.

Each of the above messages came from someone who sent @lovelygirl money and received nothing in return except perhaps one up-vote worth less than 1 cent. I searched the list of transactions, there were no refunds issued to any dissatisfied customer.

In closing, I just want to say, legitimate up-vote services are a great way to get your posts noticed and help build a following. But check out the services you use first. If they look suspicious or make claims that seem too good to be true, they are probably a scam.

Update: @lovelygirl is continuing to send out these spam/scam messages. Don't send them money, they will take it and run!
