Hey, @dustbunny.
This is very ambitious indeed. But it looks like you're off and running.
Essentially, you're dependent on others to delegate at this point, along with whatever you might earn from a post and curation.
It sounds like, though, that you won't necessarily be taking on more accounts than you can handle at one time, although there might be times where you're abilities are exceeded in those peak times where many upvotes are being made.
I'm wondering just how much RCs will be affecting how much these redfish can actually vote, period. Right now, it's not just dustvoting, it's can I vote?
Anyway, I like what you're doing here. I'm okay myself, so just saying hello and wishing you well. I'll see what I can do to help support this, at the very least in upvotes on update posts.
Hey there @glenalbrethsen,
Quite right, the bunny will be almost completely depending on the support of others who see value in this mission. But that's kind of the idea.
I'm still happily onboarding more users. The bunny continues to have enough capacity to not lose any dust. Right now it's still able to save every single item of dust it watches but that's not actually supposed to stay like this. Eventually users who do not contribute, but create above average amounts of dust, will see some of their dust being missed by the bunny.
These mechanics are implemented only in a rudimentary way right now and I've not yet had much opportunity to see them play out, but as more real-world data comes in I will be able to observe and improve on that. The goal is to create a decision-making process that creates a fair distribution of excess VP to non contributing users at times of lower demand while giving contributing users a better level of dust-security.
With strength in numbers and faith in the spirit of solidarity, I believe this could work quite well. Abuse prevention will be one of the biggest challenges as the user count outgrows the volume that I can monitor manually.
The whole RC debacle is a different topic, unfortunately the bunny can't do much about that.
Thanks for your support, I'll add you to the list.
Hey, @fraenk.
Oh, that's okay. I was just wanting to tell you I'm in support of what you're doing here. I don't need to be added to the list personally. Thank you, though. Someone else is going to need it much more than I do.
Hopefully, then, as time rolls on, you will see more and more delegations and so forth.
So, at this stage, it sounds like there's some analyzing of data that needs to be done to better program the dustbunny. Do you think that will be ongoing, or do you think you'll have enough in say a few weeks to know what you need to make this work?
