And that is what I see a lot of. Minnows and redfish taking their rewards out of steemit, which they are entitled to do, not growing their account, and then begging for votes, saying steemit is unfair and no one is helping minnows.
This is the first time I have heard of this @paulag.
A couple of weeks ago I came across someone who has a genuine rep in the 70s but was complaining about not earning enough on their posts. i was really surprised because most people I've come across with reps that high are doing very nicely. So I went to look at his account and was surprised to see that they were taking "money" out as fast as they could earn it. So in effect he was making himself a minnow!
I've not come across it anywhere else though. Most people I get to hang out with are all still trying to spread the love or build their Steem Power.
From here on in, I will be trying not to vote for accounts that do not invest in themselves and are takers and not givers.
I think this is a great move. I wish more of the orcas and up were a bit more discriminating too.
the engagement experiment I am doing, while going through accounts manually its rather easy to see how many people are engaged in this activity. its so hard to try and change mindset, so its time for me to take the hard approach and just say NO MORE.
Well. I for one am backing you on this @paulag!
