RE: Pay to Play – The Future of Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

This is an important post, I have only been here 4 months, but here is a suggestion. In the world of printed media, a magazine has an editor who curates possible content and rejects all the stuff that isn't good enough.

They also sell advertising to offset the printing and mailing costs. Solo bloggers can succeed but could do much better if they submitted their work to a capable editor. If the editor had a Steemit account, and worked out some profit agreement with the writer and put ads at the bottom; it might be a very workable agreement. Investors could upvote the "magazine" account, because they know the content is high quality and always does well, and everybody wins. As I said, I'm new here, so maybe someone is already doing this, but I think it is food for thought.
