Whew that explains a lot. I see the passion and effort that went along with this post and I really appreciate them from the bottom of my Steemit heart. Thank you for this post.
I still have some questions though and hopefully you can do a post about them in the future. This concerns how knowledge assets and connection can translate to value. I may have a very low comprehension about these things which may seem obvious to most but not to me. I still think the wealth of knowledge and connections can only be economically taken advantaged of through advertisements which you said are not necessary here in Steemit. With businesses entering the platform the landscape and nature of content may become so commercialized that it may just become another FB without the pop ups and ads because they will now be in the guise of a blog.
This post I resteemed and upvoted. Looking forward to your next.
Thank you Gems, always great to hear from you.
Yes, this is rather complex portion of the equation. I think I will indeed do a deeper follow up post to address how steemit does and will continue monetize the database of knowledge and some other details that I could not go into detail here.
I do not expect the business entries to change the dynamics of what we have right now since they will be just treated in the same exact manner as you or I, a blog and some followers. They just have the means to buy a lot of SP to becomes whales in a hurry. This may not be a bad thing as they will really want the platform to grow and are unlikely to abuse their positions' by selling their leverage off as much as others might.
