RE: Minnow Tip: The Simple CURE to Your Upvote Shortage

I think 20 is a bit of an overstatement, but it also depends on where you're at.

The smaller you are, the more you'll gain from leaving comments over adding new posts, though you should make sure you still have a page full of content for the people who then check your own blog.

Which is why I don't fully agree with others who commented here saying that the replies should be first in the order of CURE. No, you need to post. Curation and commenting without contributing content will not get you very far.

20 is not an overstatement if you take into account replies TO replies. Like this one.

Right. I don't count those. Because replying to comments people give you is worth thinking of on its own terms, as it's rewarding engagement, even beyond engaging with people. And you need to do that if you want people to keep engaging with you.

I'm behind on replying to comments on my own blog, but this is because this week has been crazy. Happens, just can't let it become a habit.

20 to 1 ratio is a bit intimidating for newbees... but I could see it happen quickly on the posts or comments that have a lot of engagement. Time is a bit of anproblem sometimes no?

As is maybe why you're behind on replting to your own posts' comments?

I try to make that a habbit everyday by the end of the day at least

I might have 2-3 days when I post nothing, but not a single day without commenting.

Ok. I can do that for sure! Thanks again
