I really don't think this is right, you are working on a ten dollar reward, but for me to get the 10 dollars I made when Steem was at $2.00 I have to get double the value in votes, because votes at one dollar are worth half as much as when it is worth $2.00. So I might be wrong but frankly I don't see how I get more Steem when the price is down, except if I get more votes.

Yes you still need more votes. Her point is that if a whale comes along and gives you a $5.00 upvote, when Steem was $2.00 you only made 2.5 STEEM, now with Steem $0.85 you'll make almost 6 Steem for that same $5.00 upvote. @ironshield
No, that is my point, the whales upvote is a reflection of Steem's price, if it was $5.00 at 2 Steem per dollar it will only be worth $2.5 at 1 Steem per dollar, so you get the same amount of Steem. At $0.85 that vote is only worth $2.12.
I also think that we get the same amount, because when the price is higher, the upvote is higher, I even think that if the price is high we earn much more steem because all the upvotes get higher.
