Steemit is an increasing populous community. Seeing more beggar becomes more common, in a form of asking for the upvote.

We become immune to the normalcy of beggars here.

These poor people behavior is a global epidemic in our ecosystem. And this becomes a serious problem. It is threatening our community.

It is a disease and it needs to be cured.
But...
Before that, we need to understand the disease itself.
The act of begging is a target behavior. The donations received from the act increases the likelihood of the behavior.
The fact is that not all people are so generous. Do you think that beggar should lose hope and stop their habit?

I don't think so, begging, the more it does the more they feel reinforced.

Why choose to be a beggar?

I believe, as a freshly new-comer to Steemit, no one wants to choose to become a beggar at first.
But later, once they found that their creativity is not rewarded as hoped, worsened by when they witnessing other low-value creativities are rewarded more, they become desperate.
They start to hunt rich people and ask for charity in a form of upvote for their post.

What Should We Do?

To stereotyping them all are spammers I don't think it as a wise decision.
Begging is an activity that driven either by laziness or they already try the best but still lack of support from the community.

It's not an easy job to distinguish both types of them.
