RE: 2 Year Anniversary - My Overview of Steemit as Well as Other Musings

in #steemit6 years ago (edited)

Normally I wouldn't do a comment like this - we have never interacted before and I'm going start off by disagreeing with you.

I've also just had my two year anniversary, and I fully agree with a lot of what you have said, and can really relate to it.

BUT - here are some bleats.

You chose to to include no pictures in your post - how best to be ignored!

You also chose to power down your account to under 500SP - shoot yourself in the foot...

You made your post so frigging long hardly anyone will read it all.

Flagging is the scourge of Steemit - it's not down voting it's censorship and control of content by wallet size

And fakebook is utter bullshit - there is no real engagement there!

I just did a post relating to this stuff - a lot shorter than yours and with more pictures!

It drives me absolutely nuts when people say ”there’s no real engagement on Facebook”.

It annoys me due to the simple fact that it OBVIOUSLY depends solely on your friend list.

I have smart, intelligent, well spoken people on my list, so my Facebook feed is full of good stuff every day.

As for the other stuff. I gave up trying a long time ago.

I can see you did, and I think you are way too talented to give up - but you are also bumming out a bit.

I made good money on cryptos last year and it was awesome. This year sucks, but that's how investing goes. I'm very glad I sold all my Bitcoin for $17000 and now I'm waiting for the next opportunity.

All I managed to do on fakebook is alienate a bunch of people I used to be on speaking terms with so I quit using it years ago. My ex fakebook friends were mostly sheeple...

I never click on @scatschattenjaeger posts because I want to see pictures and get a quick easy fluffy read.
