Steemd.com and steemstats.com will help you keep track of your voting power.
Replacing the 'it' in Steemit with 'd' or 'db' on any page's url and hitting enter will give you plenty of data to keep you busy.
Views is not a good indicator of, well, views, because it only registers Steemit views and not chainbb, busy, esteem, or blockchain views.
Not putting out the data has been an ongoing game with the developers.
Gotcha. Thanks for your concise overview. Man, I went to Steemd.com and the site doesn't seem to be working (or maybe I just don't know how it works). Steemstats.com looks great, upon first glance. Do you recommend upvoting your personal posts immediately upon publishing, or does it make sense to wait for a time when we have full voting power? This question assumes we're posting awesome content, of course.
Try again, this place doesn't function without that feed very long.
Self voting is only a problem if you make a lot of money from it, you won't have that issue at this time.
I use steemvoter.com to vote my posts at 50% at 15 minutes, but it really is whatever suits you best.
As for awesome content, that is too subjective to even debate at this point.
Don't miss steemtools.com, as well.
Not entirely subjective, though, right? I mean, "awesome," is subjective but there's a big difference between a copy-and-paste post versus an original creation. I'm thinking a copy-and-paste post wouldn't be one to upvote, because it is unlikely that others would upvote it, and vice-versa. I think this is an important consideration because Steemit seems to reward trendsetting. So if I'm upvoting my posts, then other people might be influenced by the upvote and create a ripple effect, which is a record that Steemit's algorithm will surely notice and reward. Thank you again. Looks like Steemd.com was down for maintenance, but it's becoming active again now.
Yep, on minds I have to vote my own stuff or votes drop precipitously.
Here I haven't noticed it as much.
Self voting is only a problem when you farm it, and not then if you got small enough sp.
Better, I think, to get out and make a splash and see what sticks to the shore, but I am a bit of a firebrand,....
Welcome aboard, I hope your audience finds you soon enough for you.
