So this is my 1st steemit post. (A cryptocurrency social media? Can this work?)

So, I just signed up to steemit, with no real knowledge with what I'm doing, however this should be fun!

I've jumped on a cryptocurrency bandwagon before in a big way with dogecoin. It was an amazing cryptocurrency and I really felt that it was going to be a game changer. However, not because of the reasons why you would think.

It wasn't about the technology, the mining or the wallets or anything like that at all. The thing that made dogecoin great during its peak was the community! It was AMAZING. The things that the community achieved was ridiculous, way too many to list!

but it wasn't the "coin" itself that made this all happen. It was purely community driven. I was on the reddit page every day, on hours on end making posts, upvoting all awesome posts and tipping like a mad man!

So when I stumbled across this concept... I had to jump on!!!! Fusing social media with cryptocurrency. This is exactly what made dogecoin great for me during its peak!!!

So bring it on! I've seen 1st hand what amazing things a community can do!

Yep, I'm officially excited!!
