Another idea would to make an education contest. Every person would post something they have knowlege about and educate others. The chat would be used to ask questions or go over homework.

Winner would be the one with the most interesting topic fe.

Fe person a could make a post how to daytrade person b how to paint and person c how bitcoin works.
