I don't think Steemit will become the new youtube as it is. Just because its learning curve could be quite a problem for newcomers. Without newcomers, this jus't could not work.

But i really think a lot of youtubers will come to steemit. People who actually use this kind of activity beyond a hobby and are not that afraid of numbers and stuff. This is a platform without all those rules that are actually hurting youtube instead of helping.

Now, about the "youtube crypto"... Is the same thing with the "facebook crypto". Those platforms are all about control. I don't see how could they implement this without changing all what they are, fundamentally.
