We need to learn, or improve, to maximise our time. Time is the most precious resource we have available, yet, most of us are also most wasteful with it.
As long as you live, keep learning how to live.
~ Seneca, Stoic philosopher
While in life there are many things we must do in order to survive (many should read this as to be lived), we need to learn to add value for oneself in the little available time we have.
While many will consider value, and living, as something dictated to us by the media and advertising - this can be value - more often it is much more valuable to discover and find what stimulates us, our mind ourselves. The search for that discovery isn’t necessarily the easiest thing in life but it is definitely a worthwhile quest as it will improve the quality and experience of the little time we have available.
Most definitely, in that time, we should NOT chase something dictated to us as quality. Remember that we can not control the external elements but only control how we ourselves experience the moment.
Caretake this moment. Immerse yourself in its particulars. Respond to this person, this challenge, this deed. Quit evasions. Stop giving yourself needless trouble. It is time to really live; to fully inhabit the situation you happen to be in now.
~ Epictetus, Stoic philosopher
