My first crypto purchase!

A week ago I made a post documenting my first experience making a purchase with cryptocurrency, in fact it was using steem dollars that I have earned from steemit itself. It was incredibly motivating to see my hard work here on steemit manifest itself into real tangible objects that I can hold in my hand. In my post where I made the purchase, all I showed was that I used my steem dollars to purchase a £10 Amazon giftcard. I actually bought a second £10 gift card with more of my earnings after I made the post and bought two things.

I bought my first two blu-rays, all thanks to steemit. Being a big fan of superheroes and superhero movies I wanted to get my hands on the extended editions of both Batman Vs Superman and Suicide Squad. The problem had been that the extended editions only came with a blu-ray copy of the movies and I thought this had been too expensive for me to make a purchase. However, my steemit earnings gave me the freedom to just say "why not" and buy them, and even better, all of the steem dollars that I had collected came from comments alone; this just proves how underrated commenting here on steemit is.

I just wanted to make this post as motivation for all the minnows and newcomers to the steemit platform and prove that it is very possible to make some passive income if you just keep going with steemit. I've only been on the platform for almost a couple months and have been able to make a purchase with my earnings while still racking up a large amount of steem power, currently putting my 100% upvote at $0.14.
