Seems to me the real difficulty in doing that is getting them to understand that steemit is not a scam. Hard to do with the pariah status of blockchains.

It can be, but you will see the site evolve quite a bit in the next couple months. I am looking forward to it. You never know what will spark the masses to come here but when they do... look out
