What You Love About Steemit? Why did you come here, and what do you see as the future of Steemit?

I love the community here. I enjoy being able to have a blog where I have the opportunity to earn money without having to jump through hundreds of hoops to find sponsors, or advertising dollars, or click-throughs, or anything like that. The community is amazing. There are tons of original artists on here who make amazing artwork, music, poems, fiction stories, etc. It's a lot of fun visiting their pages every day :)

There are some things that I don't like about Steemit, such as the extreme focus on monetary rewards as opposed to generating new and original content. But most people who I feel are properly invested in the platform are trying to create new and interesting content.

I have high hopes for the future of Steemit. Once we're out of beta, I suspect that navigating your blog, and the blogs of others, will be much more seamless. I also imagine that we'll have more methods for promoting and supporting NEW original content, as opposed to simply highlighting whales on the hot / trending / promoted pages. Nowhere to go but UP from here!
