Cool story, bro. You should stop using reason if you think it's a fiction. Just saying; consistency is important.

well it's pretty obvious that you no longer want to engage in discussion since you resort to ridicule.
I'll leave you with this.
Check out seasteading...go to the site and read the book (I made a post about it)
It would appear to me that if your miracle has any hope of occring it will occur on the high sea.

One more thing.
I stated that there is only fact or fiction.
then I asked you if reason was a fact.
you never responded..about then you resorted to ridicule.
so I guess I know the answer.

I've done a couple of podcasts with the guys from VONU. Great people, and I can't wait for sea-steading to become a feasible option for a wide range of people. Personally, that's how I'd like to go.

As far as ridicule goes: if you argue against reason, you're setting yourself up for it. The reasons why should be readily apparent. Once again, this post, and the posts of other people whom I work together with and have friendships with, is a market response. This is how the market functions absent coercion and how standards of behavior are established without a centralized authority. If everyone around you ostracized and derided you for being a douchebag, would you have any incentive whatsoever to be a douchebag? No. Onlookers would likewise avoid that behavior lest they be subject to those same sorts of societal pressures.

I sure ain't the sharpest crayon in the box, but went ahead and read this entire discourse between yourself and Mr. Mickey.

After reading the quote below, I perceived Everitt is not talking about law theory, sociology and all, he is talking about how the real world works for most regular folks. Not just here in the US, but around the world. It has been going on forever, but might makes right is still alive and well, even in the world's progressive democracies (now if that ain't a joke).

..there are only two classes of people in the world..there are US..and there are THEM. Our laws for THEM are different for our laws for US.

—Everitt D. Mickey

Any person with just a little knowledge of world history, or just US history will find a pattern. The status or wealth of an individual changes the application of the law regarding that person. We can even see this taking place in the world today. Politicians, Corporate Moguls, the list goes on ad nauseum. The Magna Carta was great step forward in the application of the theory no one is above the law, not even the King, but in real life... nah. Some strides have been made, but the world is heading backwards in the application of common law to all peoples, regardless their status or personal wealth.

I applaud your well thought out retorts @anarcho-andrei, you will make a great future litigator, but, from what I could understand from this thread (which was not much) if I were a simple minded juror, @everittdmickey and his arguments would win me over.

Have a great week guys. Respectfully @sgt-dan (aka sargento and yes I am sober)
