You have a lot of great ideas. Have you tried PeerHub.com? It's like eBay, only you can sell products or services for Steem. I assume you could probably request services like beta readers as well. You could probably easily find beta readers once you grow your audience a bit more. Steemit communities will be launching soon and it should address many of these things you mention (and more).
