Thanks for your point of view! Its unfortunate to lose your enthusiasm about Steemit so quickly. Steemit mimics society, some whales really do care about the community, others just want to cash in while they can. I can't even say I blame them. I was one of the first people on Facebook so I have been involved with social media for some time and Steemit has a way to go but I still see a lot of potential. There will need to be a lot of changes for this to get adapted into the mainstream.
