Porn have increased a lot on Steemit, it's the only social network that allows porn, will this affect the future of Steemit ?
So todays question is: Porn - Good or Bad for the Steemit community ?

Is it as bad as the nsfw reddit community? a fast place to fap? n make money on posting about it? I personnaly wouldn't clog my blog with a bunch of porn but who am i to say that it's not anyone's right to profit out of this opportunity in any way they can. I try myself to share my well meaning thoughtful experiences, but if that doesn't work shit maybe I'll consider sharing my homemade porn XD
It's a fact that porn is profitable and has really exploited the internet. It will attract a certain type here, but I know some don't want it. If it's allowed then we need good filters and the nsfw filter does hide it initially. There are kids joining Steemit and they need to be protected
I guess a good solution for that would be if you wanna open a NSFW post that you have to put in your posting key for example.... so it wouldn't be so easy for kids....
I'd rather see porn content left on porn sites rather than here.
Sad to even see a poll on Porn. Isn't there enough on the net now? I believe in the 2nd amendment but I also believe in community (which is what Steemit is) and I find little value in Porn.
I am only the messenger here, just to find out what the community want and hope the developers pick it up.

Thank you for posting @elyaque. Yes...what kind of image does Steemit want? Your idea for protecting those under age...is a good one. Another idea would be for it to be an app....or as it seems @steemsports is evolving into a pay to play service so that the reward pool is not depleted by controversial subject matter is the reason they gave for the direction of @steemsports. Something to ponder.

The only thing that is bad I believe is there should just be a toggle for NSFW content to be displayed or not by choice of each user. There should not be any content blocked or ignored by Steemit, however that does not mean it should be displayed in main feeds by default unless users choose that.
i dont see any problems with "porn" or nudity on steemit. especially if you can filter it out on your own.

I find this industry has huge potential for optimization in sales, copyright and marketing. Steemit could be a solution on all these potentials, but would surely get an image problem. The question is whether you want growth at any price
I really like to see a Roadmap soon from Ned and Dan to see where this ship is going so sail....
Yeah like you say, could be good for growth, but a a problem with the image....
Hopefully it steers right and not left toward Maduro! Prob must not be allowed until there is a way to be sure kids cannot access it.

I would keep porn on dedicated websites and have Steemit growing around (more) public topics. But in the end, it's what the founders and the community want.

Definitely dont wanna see porn here on steemit . But the fact that a lot of users are using porn to abuse the system for making a quick buck is burning me . One way to combat this is by reducing the payouts on nsfw content . Pay 10% or less of what is normally paid on other upvotes posts and everyone posting nsfw will get discouraged and eventually will stop .
Cars can be used as massmurdering weapons when you drive into crowd so cars are probably bad. :D

This is a sarcastic or joke reply right? Because it ends up that just life itself leads to all those negative things you wrote. But on the other hand life itself also leads to all the positives. It turns out pornography does not in itself do anything, but like anything else it can be used as a tool for negative or positive things.
What does this one specific situation have to do with pornography as something that leads to all the negative things you mentioned? May God have mercy on us all ma'am.
