I think the change will be very healthy for Steemit. Greater clout for new users should encourage posters to create great content and comments in order to build followers, not just kiss up to whales in hopes of getting one big up-vote. Increased vote power should also increase retention and activity of new users. It will be fun to watch what happens. That is my $.03 worth.
