Some months back, I attended a seminar at the olusegun Obasanjo presidential library (OOPL) Abeokuta.
The former president of Nigeria ; president Olusegun Obasanjo himself, happened to be the convener of a particular session of the event that was targeted at youths and how to curb irregular migration among youths.
From the countenance of Olusegun Obasanjo on stage that day with the returnees of the Libya refugees, I deduced that he wished he was still a "youth" he felt like doing just as youths, but nature would not allow him.
Just yesterday, I was opportuned to be around a sitting where a meeting was held between an old man and some funaab students, the man shared his life experiences with us from genesis to revelation, his wins and loses, his victories and defeats, and everything that brought about his successes.
But his greatest wish is that he remains a "youth". Amazing!
I've had to create raports with the aged from different environments and I've learnt a lot from them, but the bottom-line always remain the same.
They wish they are never aged!
I am not here to contend maybe you're a lazy or agile and hardworking youth, but I'm here to remind you (youths) that you can never have this noble privilege twice, I mean the privilege of being a youth.
This should send a deep message to your conscious and subconscious mind that the best you should do is to invest and build yourself while youthful.
Sow seeds into people's lives without looking back for harvest (rewards), but make sure it's on a fertile soil, assuring germination and growth, so your efforts won't be futile.
Know that at Old age, you will find yourself in a "cafeteria" where you may not be chanced to make orders or choices of what to eat, because you will be served what you deserve.
The name of this cafeteria is "KARMA CAFETERIA "
Dear ever-dogged youth, know the difference between enjoying your youth and destroying your future.
A word they say is enough for a wise!
To every intentional and phenomenal youths out there, you're the real MVPs.
Keep doing you!
See you at the uppermost echelon of the world.
Love always,
