Now I understand what you were talking about in the next post. I skipped this one for some reason.
I'm so old school. I love the steemit platform. I am on it to write, do poetry and post my photographs. If I purchase votes, what does that say about my content?
Exactly. Nothing. I have lots of friends that use all the upvoting devices they can and personally, I don't care. It is fine and I don't even blink at it.
It just doesn't work with my moral code.
Tip!
I really love this platform too. I've always enjoyed writing, art and photography but frankly never really got good enough at any of it to make a reasonable living off it. It has been just plain fun to be able to post stuff and try to think of things that might be of interest to people.
I've never purchased votes either but when I got started it was much easier for me to purchase Steem. I'm glad I did it seems to be paying off nicely. Although, it seems to have resulted in some issues - perhaps it is not the best place to come for an accurate assessment of your content and creative skills if your a dolphin or whale, LOL. Sometimes as an artist in particular I find that a good thing; it is really easy for me to get discouraged and this platform is very supportive.
It is interesting and fun to me to see all these different approaches that people are taking to earn money off of Steemit and enjoyable to give back to others through voting.
It's really clear that your heart was in the right place @lightsplasher but it can be next to impossible to keep a light heart, when it's being pulled in so many different directions. 🦋
You seem to have remedied it all. Expressing what you needed to do, or not do, with no hurt feelings. 🙏
