I love #steemit. I love that I can write about the things I love, while slowly building my steemit profile - and my steem.
Every now and again I wonder how I got here. Although Facebook has never been my thing, I was a faithful member of the twitterati for years.
Now I find it hard to find the time to drop in. Twitter is as great as ever, with as many great people as ever. And I'm sure the troll wars are as fierce as ever.
I do miss the politics of twitter. But you know what? I'm a happier person for thinking about the things that make me happy, and sharing those stories and secrets on steemit than I was battling trolls 140 characters at a time.
So there it is, tweeps. Forget the cryptocurrency stuff and love steemit like me.

(I was never a facebooker).
My twitter is now hardly ever looked at. I miss the political banter - kind of - but now it feels 'empty' compared to writing, and replying on here.
(our exchanges this last few days as a perfect example)

Completely agree. Find myself paying far less attention to conversations on other social channels and more interested in what I'm learning and the folks that are turning out quality content here.
Yep - it's a little bit addictive too, isn't it :-)
I definitely found myself ripping through the website in the first handful of days but I'm finding it easier to adjust the types of content to my schedule better without getting lost down as many holes now.
Also, thinking about larger and longer time release formats for content. Mostly just testing to see what I get feedback from and find a balance between writing for presumed expectations or the desire to write for my pleasure.
Slowly getting to know it better myself - but it will be changing for a while yet.. We're still only at 30,000 active users a day.
You're making me think some things and I'll have to get back to you with a legit response but yes I agree with these sentiments. 30k is low
