But you might be forgetting that Steem is evolving and becoming something more complex than a simple platform to post articles. There is the video front ends like @dtube and @dlive, the audio one @dsound , there is also the community about contributing to open source projects @utopian-io, and much other ways that use the Steem blockchain for rewarding content different than articles.
As we all know, reading is much more important than writing.
I agree that reading is more important than writing, it is similar to the case that listening is most important than talking. But reading itself is a valuable activity, I mean, when we read we are already rewarding ourselves with the knowledge that we are gathering from it, reading is naturally a rewarding thing to do.
but this is the time to think more seriously.
I wonder how could readers be rewarded in a fair way? How could such a system be implemented without some users taking advantage of it?
With all due respect, the contents without reading have no value in any circumstances.
