YouTube => Steemit: Answering Steemian questions to promote Steemit on YouTube

in #steemit7 years ago

As some of you know, I have a YouTube channel currently with 412,000+ subscribers. I've been talking about Steem to my YouTube audience and many have created Steemit accounts.

Earlier this week, to continue this cross-pollination, I made a Steemit post asking for questions which I'd answer in a YouTube clip, in order to continue talking up Steemit. That post -- which as of this writing has 142 upvotes and 33 comments -- is here: https://steemit.com/politics/@davidpakman/i-ll-be-answering-questions-for-steemit-on-the-youtube-channel

The video clip answering a selection of those questions is now up, right here:

As you'll notice, I made this as Steemit-friendly as possible, even including screenshots of user questions in the clip, to show the platform to the YouTube audience.

Want to participate in the next one? In a few days, I'll do a Steemit post calling for more questions. Keep an eye out for it!

Sort:

Good vid man, glad to see you pushing the Steemit, baby!!! Keep it up
p.s Other species are active on the planet, and very many have been substantiated lol ..... look up BASHAR, or ABRAHAM HICKS... for a start lol

No it's the same Tom Delonge! He was on the Joe Rogan podcast, very entertaining...

Really nice idea to promote steemit on youtube. Maybe you can also interview some of the famous steemians on your channel @davidpakman. And also use references to steemit in videos, for ex: " ... prices of bitcoin have fallen but a steemit post from 'this user' already predicted that precisely, in case you do not know, steemit is......"

Good post. This is on topic, in a way. You have a lot of Youtube subscribers. Have you heard of Brave browser? Part of why I joined steemit is im tired of google and facebook pretty much controlling everything. I love dtube and post a lot of my videos there.

Brave browser is like to chrome what steemit is like to reddit and facebook. Be cool if you could promote to your subscribers along side steemit. I think cryptocurrency tech can overthrow the monopoly of those sites and bring in a better fairer system for all.
Thanks

I'd love to see David do a segment about how decentralised apps on the blockchain be it Ethereum, Steem, EOS or whatever could really disrupt entrenched players and put the control back into the user communities not some centralised money focused overlords. Steemit, DTube, and DSound is a great example of decentralisation already working - but there are so many more in the works and ready to reach prime time in the next few years. Check out Bloom which will disrupt credit rating and make it work the way it should. Also Rentberry making the financial side of renting make sense. And as mentioned already - Brave browser totally disrupting the online advertising business. And these are just a few!

love what you are doing here. Will be in touch later :-)

Mr packman i got some Questions
1)do you know of thecryptoschool.io and RemainCalm .net a educational brake down on how bitcoin works investment advise and information gathering place from economists and traders that are also involved in gold silver and geopolitical information that is rarely conveyed in tv news
would you interview them p.s they are librarians but pragmatic id think it will be a good conversation.

  1. with all the sexual assaults liberal and conservatives alike in the political , media, and big players all up in big positions does this lead to a version or some form of pizza gate or mass sex extortion scandal were its hard to call it out because of public group-isms blaming each side and each side doubles down in there lib v conservative sides without looking at the problem as a hole .

  2. would you ever interview Johnathan hiadt or Jordan Peterson and do you agree or disagree if P.C culture is killing both political partys

Last/ do you think we will live in a situation ware we dont have to care about who is in office . / if we in ploy socialism will we be able to get rid of the corruption when it inevitably happens and how hard will that be.?

informative, I learned new things here. thanks!

Keep doing your thing man. Lets see how high we can get steem to go!!!

Nice idea of promotion in youtube which can makes our community more popular.

steem dollars traded at $16dollars this morning on bittrex.

wow really ?
thats cool p.s get some light coin its going up get it wile its cheep

Very LAME that you guys didn't answer my question regarding the following 3 whistle-blowers:

William Cooper
Phil Schneider
Donald Marshall

Makes me suspicious ...

There is always a next time :)

We'll see ... I'm not going to get my hopes up tho.

You've actually sparked my curiosity, I'm going to read up on these guys myself...

we were unable to answer all questions and I am not familiar with all of those individuals unfortunately.

I provided links to all the names mentioned above in the original comment. Here they are again:

I know you must at least be familiar with Bill Copper unless you've been living under a rock and not researching truth for the past 20+ years.

Billy Cooper is indeed an important figure in Australian Aboriginal rights. Well worth investigating.

Hmm, I am not familiar with these folks but it seems they are known for talking about alien contact. I wouldn't be able to comment on the veracity of their specific claims, but as a general matter, I do not believe that humans on earth are the only intelligent being in the universe.

The YouTube circuit should feel the problem

many hits on your YouTube channel

Youtube market can be catch with this method.

Thank you for promoting the future of the web!

Its always fun seeing your name show show up. Will you consider being a member of the coinbase referral program program I've been thinking about throwing 100 dollars at crypto and would like to give you the referral.

Im actually considering pushing steem at the end of my youtube videos. I have already started putting a link to my account in my descriptions.

thats great concept about crypto..thanks for sharing my friend..best of luck..

Thanks for answering. Weird that the noise is back

It looks like you're really having some success here. Your Patreon numbers are public, your Steemit earnings are public, how about taking about how those sources compare to YouTube revenue? I don't think any begrudges you your earnings for what you do - but a comparison could really help bring others to the platform. If you don't want to give actual numbers you could always done relative graphs of the three sources perhaps asking with viewing figures to demonstrate if your entry into the Steemit platform had an effect there.
