I think alt currencies have major potential as when people awaken to the mass manipulated global economic system they will try and save their money. As Doug Casey says 'its like the contents of the hoover dam getting through a garden hose' A great phrase and true of course when they will be a major panic to save their fiat money's purchasing power or from being confiscated altogether!
