I find that there truly is a generally all round goodwill vibe to Steemit. So many people here are truly dedicated to building Steemit into THE social media site. Looking forward to being a part of and contributing to Steemit. BTW following you.

You're welcome! Steemit is a great community that I believe is still in the early stages in its development! It will become one of the major social media sites in the future
The funny thing is a short while before I found Steemit I had written an article on fakebook about the need for a social media platform that does pretty much what Steemit is doing, paying for creating content and curating it.
The only thing it lacks so far is a repository of open source creativity programs that can be used much like Dtube. Open source art programs, music programs, video editors, etc, all tied into Steemit so you have to log on to use them. To me blockchain and open source go hand in hand.
