Hello steemit! Now Introducing myself, Im Cesar, a.k.a. @czar

in #steemit8 years ago

Hello fellow steemians, this is my introduction to steemit
My name is Cesar Navarro, but in the steemit world I go by the name

@czar

I was introduced to steemit by @streetstyle, who is a phenomenal author so make sure you follow him.

I'm 36 years old, I live in the southern gates of Los Angeles, more commonly known as:

I was born in a small town called San Agustin, Jalisco in Mexico but I didn't grow up in Mexico, my mother and father left each other when I was about a year old. My mother decided to move us in with a cousin of hers in Tecate Mexico, which was close to the U.S. border. My mom soon after got a U.S. work visa permitting her to work in San Diego while her cousin would take care of me and my brother during the week while she was away working. My mother would only see us on the weekends, and after a couple of months of saving money she was able to take us with her to San Diego where we stayed with a coworker of hers while my mom found an apartment.

After about a year in San Diego we moved into a trailer park home in Compton, then in 1984 we relocated to Maui Hawaii, only to move back to California six months later, this time west of Silver Lake in Los Angeles, and finally in 1986 we settled in the city of Lennox where most of my childhood memories are from. In 1994 due to all the violence and crime within that city we moved to Hawthorne, although it was just a couple miles away it was a different neighborhood altogether. To this day my mother still lives in that same house.

In May of 2005, I met my wife in an online game of yahoo pool. We sparked with each encounter we had, from chatting online to talking on the phone to video chats, so after a month or two I figured if there was going to be a relationship it would not work long distance for very long. She lived in London, three months later in August I found myself on a flight headed to London to meet her for the first time. By the second day on my ten day visit across the pond I was proposing to her, I know, I know, that was fast. By September I managed to fly her back to Colombia with her family and soon after I flew to Colombia accompanied by my mother and on October 19, 2005 we got married.

Pictured above is in London, the day after meeting for the first time.

My wife and I have two kids, my son Nick is 13 and has become the comic book know-it-all. He also likes to read anything he can get his hands on, making him the bookworm of the family, so Im sure he will be a walking encyclopedia by the time he graduates, so proud of how smart he has become. Nick loves comics and due to that he is constantly schooling me with insights on characters and their storylines. One of his favorite comic book characters is the Joker, he has even written his very own short-story version about how the Joker fed human remains to people, which I'll share when he releases it to me so stay tuned on that.

Pictured above is when Deadpool was his favorite

My daughter Valentina is nine years old, she unlike most girls has embraced a more physical activity, the sport of Jiu-Jitsu. Be sure to take a look at two of my previous posts on my daughter Valentina a.k.a. Jiu-Jitsu Val and her progress within the sport.

Pictured above was at the Jiu-Jitsu World League in Los Angeles, CA

As a young adventurous child I grew up liking animals, but my mother couldn't buy me one because we lived in an apartment complex that did not allow pets. So one of the first things I got my kids when we purchased our home in 2010 was a pet dog(a beagle), My son quickly named him Chico, later we got Jac our bull terrier, and one day while visiting the Cerritos mall, we walked into a pet store and walked out with a beautiful blue nose beagle, her name is Navi.

Left to right, Chico, Navi and Jac

I started working from the age of 15, my first job was as a dishwasher in an Italian restaurant, then went on to retail merchandising, shipping & receiving and obtained a stand-up/sit-down forklift operational license. I later changed profession and worked for Australian airline Qantas Airways in LAX airport's Tom Bradley International Terminal, were I was the Lounge Customer Service Agent in the business and first class lounges for Qantas & British Airways. The job title described exactly what I was told to do: Lounge!

After 11 months as a Lounge CSA, I switched professions once again and went on to sell cars for PACIFIC FORD in Long Beach which is now called CARUSO FORD. Working there I was forced to break out of my shy shell and gave me the ability to talk to strangers without feeling like i was under the spotlight. After a couple of months of face to face negotiations I gained my confidence with people, allowing me to open up, be myself and gain confidence. I learned that usually the happiest customers are the most ripped off, while the customers getting the best deals are the least satisfied customers.

As a salesman I faced lots of negotiations and learned many sales tactics.

In 2004 while attending a job-fair in Los Angeles, I met two gentlemen who they themselves were car salesmen before and told me that there was a lot of money to be made in the bail industry, which they were right, at the time the company I started working for was the most aggressive company, setting the industries standards for down payments, payment plans, discounts and the overall appearance of a bail bond office and it's staff.

Since 2009 I've been worked for House of Bail Bonds as a Bail Agent, a profession I've held for 12 years now. I'm also a Notary Public, my younger brother and I provide a mobile Notary Public Service called The Notary Lab ,

which is mainly just enough for lunch & some gas money.

I can honestly state that the bail bonds industry is a profession in which I will always be a part of somehow.

Keeping families and friends together.
