Glad I could provide some insight. It's hard to tell anecdotally, but I'm sure someone out there has done the figures on it.
I guess I 'd just say think about where your main target demographic is and if they may be awake or not... So for example, as I speak English I might put more emphasis on timing posts when people are awake in the USA and the UK.
