Black Pine Seedlings

Crypto had a lot of red this week, but Steemit kept us well distracted!

Here are some of our initial thoughts:

  • The combination of the platform and currency offer a pretty awesome ecosystem for content generation and reward.
  • Our personal earnings were a bit lower than expected, but...
  • The community is waaaaay better than expected.
  • The monetary benefits that are made transparent do wonders for honesty, courtesy, and professionalism. We might be on to something here.
  • This is going to be a great source of things to explore. We love exploring.

What else have we been up to?

  • Spells of Genesis: This game can be played via browser or phone and offers some decent challenge. It also offers the skill-based chance to earn blockchain based cards. Though the game is free, it does offer microtransaction to speed up the ability to play. Screenshot below hopefully gives some sense of the kind of gameplay.

  • Altpocket.io: Trying to get a grasp on the value of your coins spread across 3 exchanges and 7 different wallets? Maybe altpocket can help - we're still trying to figure it out. So far, Poloniex, Coinbase and Bittrex api connections were successful, but only Poloniex transactions are coming through. We'll keep exploring.

  • Faucet Games:

    • MinerFarm (Referral link: http://www.minerfarm.com/login?r=35364#toregister): Easy to set up an account and they start you off with a free 100Gh/s mining BTC. There are some mechanics like machine degradation, power & temperature that keep things interesting. Unfortunately, the withdrawal fees are a bit high, but this might eventually work out to something profitable. Seeing as they were around in 2015, we imagine we would be pretty happy if we started back then. Better late than never.

    • BTCMines (Referral link: https://btcmines.club/ref/17336): If you don't mind clicking a fair bit, and being shown ads, this appears to be a working faucet with micro withdrawals. We've made a withdrawal of 100 satoshis, but as of posting it still hasn't shown up and we don't see a transaction ID. Will update if it does come through.

  • Lending Platforms:

    FalconCoin:
~ Lending and conversion value of coins set to $10, exchange price still <$1 but showing some resistance to dropping further
~ Made a large loan this week which we discussed in this post
~ Interest issues should be fixed by Monday, per admins in Telegram
    ~ Referral link: https://dashboard.falconcoin.co/referral/cryptogardeners

    Davor:
~ Price is pancaking! All good though, thankfully we extracted our initial investment and locked up a loan when the coin was $100+. If they survive this, it bodes well.

    HextraCoin:
~ Stay away! Price is fixed in the exchange and it appears to be grinding to a halt, which is a shame as we did not get our money out of this one yet. That said, the platform is still functioning and paying out interest, and we have a sell order up. If that goes through, we'll get to find out if they are processing BTC withdrawals. Like we said, stay away for now.

Gardening: Honestly, this post is too long already. =) We'll have another post up tomorrow, with an update on our Black Pine bonsai seedlings!

We're already over halfway to our first Steemit goal of 50 followers. Awesome sauce! If you like what you read above, or want us to look into something, let us know in the comments.

Upvotes, resteems and use of referral links much appreciated. We're trying to grow our little community and everything counts.

Happy Friday!

Nice Jack Pine Seedling! I look forward to seeing some updates on it. Check out my new herb garden series, I'm looking for some suggestions on what to grow.

Thanks, much appreciated! Checking out the herb garden series now.

Great thoughts. Thanks for the insight.
