Which App Do I Use to Make the Most Out of Steemit?

If you are like me and you like to make the most out of your steemit experience, you'll need to use apps that people have built on top of the STEEM blockchain to help you.

People who share an app that I don't know of will get extra good upvote from me in the comment section.

A World of Apps on Steem

One of the reason why I believe STEEM will be at $10 one day is because of the incredible talent that this technology has been able to attract. Apps that people actually use on a day to day basis! You would do well by following the authors of those apps and give them your upvotes.

With that being said, let's get started!

STEEMDATA by @furion for Charts

Do you like to take the pulse of what's happening on the network? Well, there isn't a better place that I have found to get some good cold data on active users, # of comments, # of authors, future powerdown, etc.

STEEMDATA is also a very powerful tool to run your own apps on, make sure to check it out.

UPVOTERS by @elviento for Basic Personal Stats

Upvoters combines cool graphic design with very good information to run your account such as knowing who are you biggest and most valuable followers. Thanks to @elviento, it's really a tool that I enjoy.

STEEMVIZ by @ausbitbank for Pending Payouts

You would like to know how much you made by commenting versus how much you made with posts? Look no further than steemviz for that. I use it all the time to keep track of how much rewards is coming down the pipe. You would be crazy not to use it

STEEMWHALES by @heimindanger

This cool app give A LOT of information that you cannot find anywhere else easily. I really like the personal historic progression for rewards and followers. It's also nice to see where you rank as a whale in becoming also.

STEEMSTATS by @jesta for Spying

You want to know how the big boy curate and make $? Steemstats allow you to know how other people so that you can follow their pattern. It's also a complete dashboard of helpful stats that can be mined for your benefit.

Conclusion

These are the apps that I use on a consistent basis. Share below the most helpful apps that you use on a consistent basis. If you make me discover one that I've didn't know about that is useful, you'll receive a big fat upvote from me. Apps that are platform like DTUBE, DSOUND, ZAPPL and other are excluded from that list in this context.

Great apps there you listed @cryptoctopus ..Thanks! I would like to add a tool my partner I made and making more to put on our site at http://steemistry.com/steemit-mentions-tool/

Its good at seeing all the posts and comments that mention your name.. We are working and more and will let you know as soon it's as ready.

Also, Thank you very very much for your support on my witness. I promise we are working hard to uphold the values a witness on Steemit should have.

steemistry.com is awesome. You get a Big Fat Vote.

@cryptoctopus - No idea about new apps. steemnow.com & steem.supply are the apps I'm using very well Sir.

+W+ [UpVoted & ReSteemed]

steem.supply is awesome. Thanks!

@cryptoctopus - Sir, didn't you know about it? :O You are welcome Sir :)

I'm skiddish about addons and if they can steal my password. But you get a Big Fat Upvote.

I see what you mean, it's better to be safe than sorry. Thank you, appreciate it! But I benefited by your comment as I didn't think of the possibility of my password being stolen!

The apps built on top of this platform are really what makes Steemit stand out from the rest!

I often use some of the apps you mention here, but I'm also a very big fan of:

  1. Steemreports by Steemreports

  2. SteemSpectacles by @pilcrow and @sjennon

and for pending payouts I like

3. steem.supply by @dragosroua

Didn't know about Steemreport. Awesome.

good comment.
very useful your information.
I am new and little use of applications to optimize my publications.
Thank you

Aw, no mention of @spectacles (yet)? In case you haven't tried it yet, see http://steemspectacles.com/, hopefully you'll like it. If you have tried it and deliberately left it out of your post, let me know what you think we can improve :)

it's pretty cool!

Hi friend just curious what happened to SteemSpectacles?

What about http://steemworld.org by @steemchiller?

I think it's a really cool and very benefitial App. You should check it out!

didn't know about that one. Very cool. Thanks!

You are welcome!

Hello mate! From the ones you listed, I am aware of only Steemwhales and Steemstats!
Steemviz, Steemdata and upvoters is new to me, I'll check them out!

I'm happy to share the ones I am actually using :

Glad to see that you are coming out of the funk man!
Cheers
@progressivechef

Best chrome plugin so far is - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/steemit-more-info/dcbpmclnlapbkgkddhencielibcjogcf

It pretty much has everything you could ask for that makes the layout better on steemit and also the information many other sites provide but just place it directly on the site.

I don't know why but I'm super worried about chrome apps and the possibility to get my password stolen from them.

I think that is the reason you clearly mentioned, "you'll need to use apps that people have built on top of the STEEM blockchain to help you."

Safety is clearly not the forte of chrome plugins, and with hackers getting smarter by the day the question is not "will my password get stolen?' but "when will my password get stolen?" the answer to which is, anytime.

I rarely use chrome plugins and a chrome plugin for steemit? i'd pass on this one.... i believe @cryptoctopus is right; great share too!

Well that's exactly the reason why I haven't used any of those yet. Basically they are all scraping the pages. Click on your wallet, check you private keys and they're caught.

I don't think the extensions were developed with bad intentions in mind, but it's just too risky and bad practice I think.

Yeah I don't blame you honestly it does not require any login info but then again you never know what information it could be pulling. I am sure the 10 apps I have running on chrome surely does not speed things up either lol btw I love steemwhales and also steemnow seem to be my two major go tos at the moment.

Really cool collection of dapps, thanks for that. I never heard of Steemdata.com , this is perfect!

@cryptoctopus,
Actually I don't know about new Apps that are very useful. Yesterday I heard about Google Chrome extension which can be used to check Account status, but I don't think it might be a good tool for me, coz I hate to add plugins or extensions to my browser (Security purposes)
I am currently using

  • steemnow.com
  • steem.supply
  • steemd.com
  • steemdb.com
as my main apps in this platform. But you just mentioned few useful apps in the article and I hope to give a try on them also! Definitely in this round I will not get your big fat upvote but hope in future I can receive that upvote from you!
Thank you very much for sharing such great information with us!

Cheers~

there's also steemnow.com for seeing all your upvotes in a single place.

Great information as always. I use the esteem app for a quicker brousing and checking updates. Also, Steemnow has been really useful to me as I can see who is and has voted, etc.

It is a very good post for the newbies. There are few more which should be mentioned like Steemnow.com, steemitboard.com, steemdb.com, and our best Steemd.com.

Thank you for showing SteemViz and other miracles. Such apps motivate authors to make more content

@cryptoctopus thank you for this awesome resource, I am new here and am bring friends of mine with me and you just proved the set of tools I need to help them.

I have high hopes that a Steem will rise, we are lucky to be part of this platform early and we will be richer than others :D but that's not the point . We have to wait on the success because it can happen anytime

esteem is a decent app for posting and browsing! I use it almost as much as the regular webpage for checking stuff out and commenting...

@humanauction

great info but the best is their chrome app

Thanks for sharing. I'm always looking for apps to improve my steemit experience. Once app that I wish that was out there was something to help create posts.

What I mean is something that can save drafts (that way I don't always have to post the same footer), shelve articles (so that way I can easily come and finish them on a later date, and a dummy proof way to schedule posts (that way I can build up some sort of backlog of posts if I ever get busy).

If you know of anything let me know!

Steemit more info by @armandocat is the best tool

I appreciate this kind of publications
They are very educational in my case that I am starting.
thank you for your time and for sharing quality information.
Good Vibrations and Blessings.

This is great, especially for a newbie like me here. Thank you so much!

Thank you for sharing all these resources.
It would be great to have a place where you could find all third party Apps sorted by categories.

You should try streemian.com because of their curie guild on which you can make some really nice curation rewards and support minnows at the same time!
