Great discussion happening here on Steemit! Good for bringing this up as you knew personally how disappointed I felt when some of the participants were upset for not receiving anything.

We stated the reward however were quick to find out that some were left dissatisfied. It was hard picking a winner and we hope that we can get more people to join in the future, we really didn't wanna make anyone upset and hope to get more people join future Contests! Steemit is a great community and we hope to leave a good impression, so we will consider all the alternatives choices when it comes reward distribution next time
