What is a minnow?
Let me, as Newby also add that one probably first needs to read a lot of these kind of posts to understand how things work. So you need to invest some time. Best way to do so is because you really like to learn how steemit and/or crypto world works. Cause when you're having fun, time flies!
Planktop is below 500 Steem Power. Minnow is below 5,000 Steem Power. "Minnow" is the general catch-all term for people without much impact, or who don't get many upvotes worth much on their content.

Although this raises new questions for me 😀
I think I now have 15 steem power, 0,5 and (14,5). The (14,5) will be delagated in the coming 13 weeks and the 0,5 can I power down right now. So minnows did not earn any steem in the last 13 weeks and powered down everything to earn like $3?
They did not power down.
They just didn't earn any noticeable amount.
The 14.5 is going to disappear soon. Steem gives all new accounts a bit of free Steem Power so they could act in the system.
I also didn't say 0. Minnows is 500-5000 SP. It takes a while to even get to 500.
