RE: Can you generate steem/steempower/steemdollars?

After 7 days, that's all. No more profit can be gained from the post.

It is meant to encourage people to keep adding new relevant content, and keep making more posts.

The good thing is that your posts will forever stay on the blockchain, for free! I keep a lot of historical photos here, so I can find them again when I need them. Can't beat that.

Thanks for your answer, its a tricky situation, YouTube or D.Tube? YouTube content stays and keeps generating, but D.tube stops...what would you pick, i personally use both...i guess it would boil down to personal preference right?

You have to decide what works better for you. I prefer not to send content to youtube, because they own it, they can remove it, and they can choose how much they want to pay you.

On d.tube and d.live you can earn steem based on your popularity that week, but you will have to actively create new content to keep earning.

After being here on steemit almost a year, I am learning that you can earn more by making content using certain tags. Certain communities here are very large, and will reward people who make content interesting to their curators.
