It worries me that noting has been said recently by @ned and other devs about the SBD situation and how it totally breaks the curation system on this platform.

Yes I did, I've installed it but have yet to log in.
using private keys and such still makes me a bit anxious :)

Yeah that's cool, but just as long as you don't use the owner key you should be fine. Like steemconnect, the keys aren't stored by the app, and if worse comes to the worst, you can reset them all with the owner key.
