To write a good article, you need two things: good content and good technique!
Everyone has something interesting to say, so good content is more common than you'd think; but sometimes it lacks technique and doesn't get noticed.
Here's a few simple steps to help you improve your writing:
1. Write what you love
When I first joined Steemit I use to write about whatever topic was popular at the time. It didn't even matter if I knew much about it. I learned pretty quickly that unless you care about what you write, your readers won't either!
2. Read, read, read
To generate content ideas, you need to read as much as you can. Have a look at what the competition's writing and get inspired, but remember to stay original and put a bit of yourself into your article; no one else can do that!
So you've got the content, now how do you make it appealing?
3. Make sure it looks inviting
When you see a lot of really long paragraphs on a page, it already seems like a challenge; most people will give up before they start reading.
Break up your writing into short sections that will draw your reader from one sentence to the next. Use the right photos and place them where you think the text needs a break.
4. Keep it short and simple
Don't try to impress your reader by using unnecessarily complicated words; you might end up confusing them instead. Use simple words and no more than what you need to express your point. Scrap any unnecessary words delete the sentences a reader might skip.
5. Make it better
Read your article out loud a few times before posting to see if you can make any improvements. Also make sure there are no mistakes or typos.
Now that your write-up looks good and has great info, go ahead and hit that post button with confidence!
Thank you for reading and I hope you found this post useful.
Until next time, Steem on!

I like the idea of "Keep it short and simple" . Who wants to read posts like reading forever right? Maybe bookworms will do.
You always , say stuffs off my mind like you are a mind reader.
Very useful mate! Will take it into account on my next posts! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for keeping it short and simple.. I believe you when you said "write what you love". It really true. One tends to express his/her opinion better on what he/she has passion for. And most especially it must be inviting.
I will take to these key steps. Thanks for the enlightenment.
this article really helps me to better

You are so right about reading to generate contents. Because it gives us new fresh stories to share with the world @corina. Thanks for this.
get high to the top boss,,
Well I think those are really great tips on writing on Steemit or anywhere for that matter. My big question is though, how do you get others to see it? Sometimes when I post content, it may be well written or in my case a nice painting with content to support it but, it just goes unnoticed. Not complaining here, just curious how you address that?
very good advice, precise and objective, I think it would be of great help for all of us who have little time on the net and still struggle for our content to be seen, thank you happy night
Very nice tips! To read and write about we love (but not only) is very good, it can inspire us a much!

Good advices. Thank you.
I’m still new to steemit. But I found that in steemit, good writing alone is not enough. I see a lot of different strategies that people use to get more upvotes. It’s fascinating. Make blogging great again.
Great post! Thank you :)
Thank you @corina. Your posts are so inspiring for a tiny little minnow like me. You are so right about short, concise and organized. I get lost very quickly when an article is too long.

Yes, reading is truly magnificent for every writers. It widens your knowledge about a certain topic, give you some ideas on what topic you'll prepare writing and expands your vocabulary which easily smooth out your content to connect with likeminded individuals even someone who doesn't know about your topic can easily get what you're trying to say. Good post, keep it up! ;)

I really enjoyed reading these tips. Hope I would be confident as you have said. Thanks @corina
Very interesting, thanks for this post i learned a lot
That was very useful. Thank you for the advice. I am still figuring out markup. I will look into this more and use this in the future.
Nice work @corina. Post itself has a great layout -- eye appealing. That makes such a big difference. Sort of a subconscious effect. Most people feel they are not good at writing. Because of that, they just write quickly and post. Failing to look back over their work. (The words "edit" and "editing" are REALLY scary for many.) You made it sound less threatening by suggesting reading it aloud. Great approach!
It's nice to find good, well-qualified writers here on Steemit. I'm still fairly new, but love what all I'm learning here.
Thank you for giving us, new Steemit writers, valuable tips. I'm just starting here and I'm definitely going to follow you and expect to learn more and more!
I also often see people stuffing their posts with lots of photos that don't really benefit the text and just make it feel longer. Maybe some readers like that, but I just catch myself just scrolling through with not really paying attention.
Yeah, I'll keep Steem-ing on! Really love point No.1. I think it's so important for the writer. Thank you for this great reminder :) @corina
